American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) – Provide national governance oversight and strategic direction as Executive Governing Board Member. North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission – Shape statewide juvenile justice policy through service on the Racial & Ethnic Disparities (RED) Subcommittee. National Association of Social Workers, North Carolina Chapter – Advanced equity statewide as Former National Delegate, Former First Vice President, Founding Member of Equity & Inclusion Subcommittee. North Carolina for Juvenile Justice (NCJSA) – Strengthened statewide juvenile justice reform as Board Member and Past President.

Equity, Justice & Education

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Continuum of Care – Guide strategic equity initiatives as Equity & Inclusion Committee Member. North Carolina Chief Justice’s Commission on Fairness and Equity – Appointed inaugural Committee member and Chaired subcommittee on Educational Opportunities, driving systemic equity recommendations for the state judicial branch. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Board of Education – Appointed and an inaugural Equity Committee Member and Co-chaired Educational Opportunity and High Expectations Subcommittee, focus on embedding racial equity into district-wide policy. Race Matters for Juvenile Justice (RMJJ) – Helped expand cross-system leadership collaboration as Leadership Team Member.

Community Organizing & Empowerment

Men’s Empowerment Coalition & Men Speak Charlotte – Founded and facilitated long-standing community initiative advancing male and fatherhood engagement, training, summits, conference, intentional dialogue, and crucial conversations. West Boulevard Community Roundtable – Co-Chaired community-based leadership body addressing neighborhood development and community priorities.

Parent & Youth Engagement

Mecklenburg County PTA (Meck PTA) Council – Provided county-wide leadership as Past President & Council member advancing family engagement and educational equity initiatives. Meck PTA Council, Male Engagement Coordinator – Expanded father and male-father figure participation by developing engagement programs, chairing conferences, and leading parent/educator training.
